Social Skills Development Center teaches UCLA’s The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Studies (PEERS®). This program is a manualized, social skills training intervention for youth with social challenges. It has a strong evidence-base for use with adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorder but is also appropriate for children, adolescents, and young adults with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and other socioemotional problems.

SERVICES:

Children: We offer a 16-week evidence-based social skills intervention for children in grades 3 through 5 who are interested in learning ways to help them make and keep friends. For more information, please visit the children section.

Adolescents: We offer a 16-week evidence-based social skills intervention for adolescents in middle school or high school who are interested in learning ways to help them make and keep friends. For more information, please visit the adolescent section.

Young Adults: We offer a 16-week evidence-based social skills intervention for young adults (18 – 30 years old) who are interested in learning ways to help them make and keep friends, and to develop romantic relationships. For more information, please visit the young adult section.

Individual Therapy:  At times it may be beneficial for your child, adolescent or young adult to meet privately with me to discuss his/her  issues.  This may be in lieu of the social skills session or following the 16-week program to work on further developing the social skills learned in class.  I am happy to accommodate your child's needs and look forward to working together to ensure his/her success.
